"Past Times was created to go with a short film I made about a man, a train driver, recapturing memories of his past whilst going about his daily duty. Memories of how he had been a little rascal as a boy and a soldier during the war. How he met his wife and how his life is now. Good memories to him that no one would ever know or question because all he does now is drive trains. I guess I wanted to create a sad track that empowered these memories of this very active life, almost exciting life as a younger man or boy to this now very bland life which had fallen into routine and boredom. Also there was the concept of judgement. We see a bus driver or a train driver but despite how simple the job may or may not be, we assume there's not much else behind the mask."
